Four Morris Area Public Library District seats will be on the April 6, 2027 ballot. The four-year seats have terms ending in 2031. Interested candidates must reside within the library district. Board of Trustees filing papers may be picked up at the library, 604 Liberty St. Morris, IL 60450 during library hours. For more information, you can check out the Illinois State Board of Elections website here or contact Library Director Jackie Hanson.

Dates to Know

  • Aug. 25, 2026 – Petition circulation begins
  • Nov. 16, 2026 – First day to file candidate petitions
  • Nov. 23, 2026 – Last day to file candidate petitions
  • Nov. 23, 2026 – Statement of economic interests receipt due by 5 p.m.
  • Apr. 6, 2027 – Consolidated Election
