Strengthen Our Community – Brick Donation Program

It’s hard to not judge a book by its cover, that’s why we need your help to improve the curb appeal of the Morris Area Public Library.

Located in the nostalgic downtown area, we are a valued fixture within the heart of our city. Our impact on the community is very simple and summed up in our mission—

to provide materials, programming, and space to cultivate curiosity, enlighten the mind, and strengthen the community.

We focus on this mission inside our building where:

Now, we want the outside of our building to reflect all the good things going on inside. We will be upgrading the area around the main entrance with personalized legacy bricks that will border the library along Liberty Street. Our goal is to revamp the area in front of our windows – but also we want residents and visitors to walk along the sidewalk and recognize your generosity and support of our library. Symbolically, it will be a lasting reminder that the library belongs to all of us.

We are inviting the community to support your library by donating the cost of an engraved brick which will be placed in the area along our front windows. There are three sizes to choose from: 4” x 8”, 8” x 8”, and 12” x 12”. Each can be personalized making a great gift for anniversaries, memorials, and more.

4″x8″ Brick – $50.00
8″x8″ – $100.00
12″x12″ – $150.00

For an additional donation of $6, choose from a variety of our standard clip art options on any size brick.

For 12′ x 12″ bricks only, add a custom logo for an additional donation of $25. Logo will not cover more than 25% of brick. Once your donation is received a member of our staff will contact you to send a high resolution image of your logo through email.

All brick donations placed between August 1 and January 31 will be installed in May (weather and supply permitting). All brick donations placed between February 1 and July 31 will be installed in October (weather and supply permitting).
