The Camera That Works the Best is the One You Have

Are you passionate about photography or eager to learn more? Join us for our Photo Club, meeting on the 4th Monday of every month from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the library. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other photography enthusiasts, learn new techniques, and showcase your creativity.

Monthly Themes and Photo Competitions

Each month, we will focus on a specific photography topic to inspire and challenge your skills. Whether you’re using a professional DSLR, a smartphone, or anything in between, you’re welcome to participate.

Here’s how it works:

1. Assigned Theme: Each month, we’ll announce a photography theme at the meeting.
2. Photo Submission: Submit your photo by the third Monday of the month. Photos should be:
   • Printed in 8.5 x 11 format
   • Minimum resolution: 300 PPI or 2550 x 3300 pixels (8.5 megapixels)
3. Printing Service: We will print your submissions and have them ready to display at the meeting.

Meeting Highlights

At each meeting, we will:

• Explore the monthly photography topic with tips and tricks.
• Review and discuss the submitted photos as a group.
• Display the photos for library patrons to vote on their favorites.

After the meeting, photos will be displayed for public voting. Photos will be returned at the next meeting.

Community Guidelines for Submissions

We welcome diverse photographic expression in our library’s Photo Club. To ensure a positive and inclusive environment, please follow these guidelines:

• Photos must remain family-friendly and respectful of community standards.
• Submissions should not include offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content.
  • Examples of prohibited content include depictions of nudity, violence, or other sensitive material unsuitable for all ages.
• Final approval of photos will be at the library’s discretion.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to create a welcoming and supportive space for all participants.
