Temporary Closure April 1–5 for Expansion Project Transition

The Morris Area Public Library will be closed April 1–5 as we transition into the next phase of our expansion and renovation project. We will reopen to the public on April 6 with several important changes to our building layout and services.

New Entrance (Important!)

During this phase of construction, the front entrance on Liberty Street will be closed.

All visitors should enter through the new entrance, located off the parking lot on Wauponsee St.

What to Expect Inside

When you return, you’ll notice some exciting progress:

  • Adult Services has moved to its new permanent location on the south side of the building
  • Youth & Teen areas are temporarily relocated to the new community space
  • All programs and events will take place in the basement auditorium

Book Drop Location

The outdoor book drop will move to the parking lot off Wauponsee Street for easier access during construction.

Thank You for Your Patience

We understand these changes may take some getting used to, and we truly appreciate your patience and support as we continue improving your library. We’re excited to welcome you back into the updated space and look forward to sharing even more improvements in the coming months.
