Strengthen Our Community – Brick Donation Program

We’ve transformed the front of your Morris Area Public Library, thanks to the generosity of our community. As visitors stroll by, they’ll see the names of those who have supported the library etched into the bricks—a beautiful, lasting reminder that the library belongs to all of us.

While the first phase is complete, this project is far from over! We’re thrilled to offer you the chance to leave your mark and be part of this legacy. By donating a personalized brick, you’ll not only enhance the library’s curb appeal but also help strengthen the library for future generations.

Twice a year, in spring and fall, we’ll install these legacy bricks along Liberty Street—ensuring the outside of our building reflects the vibrant, meaningful activity happening inside. Your contribution to this ongoing project will become a part of the library’s story for years to come.

Situated in Morris’ nostalgic downtown, the library is a key part of our community. Our mission is clear:

to provide materials, programming, and space to cultivate curiosity, enlighten the mind, and strengthen the community. 

How We’re Strengthening the Community

  • Adults can check out the latest best-seller, find materials to support their work or hobbies, participate in book groups, watch a movie, or spend the afternoon crafting, as well as enjoy authors and other speakers
  • Families can borrow books, movies and more and connect with one another at story times and game clubs
  • School-age children find materials they need to support their learning in school and can meet up with their friends at various engaging programs offered each month
  • Teens can connect in their own space, where they can socialize, chat or read, and help develop programs catered to their interests with our new Teen Adventure Group

Make Your Mark

Now, we want the outside of the building to reflect the incredible community support we experience inside. We invite you to personalize a brick that will border our entrance along Liberty Street. As visitors walk by, they’ll see your contribution and generosity—a lasting reminder that the library belongs to all of us.

Brick Donation Details

You can select from three brick sizes, each customizable with names, messages, or commemorations. There are three sizes to choose from: 4” x 8”, 8” x 8”, and 12” x 12”. Each can be personalized making a great gift for anniversaries, memorials, and more.

4″x8″ Brick – $50.00
8″x8″ – $100.00
12″x12″ – $150.00

For an additional donation of $6, choose from a variety of our standard clip art options on any size brick.

For 12′ x 12″ bricks only, add a custom logo for an additional donation of $25. Logo will not cover more than 25% of brick. Once your donation is received a member of our staff will contact you to arrange for a high resolution image of your logo to be sent through email.

Installation Schedule:

All brick donations placed between August 1 and January 31 will be installed in May (weather and supply permitting). All brick donations placed between February 1 and July 31 will be installed in October (weather and supply permitting).
