Music in the Park Celebrates America 250

The City of Morris and the Morris Area Public Library invite the community to kick off the Fourth of July season with an evening of music, family activities, and patriotic celebration at Music in the Park on Friday, June 26, at 6:30 PM at the Goold Park Bandstand.

The evening will feature a special performance by the Joliet American Legion Band, performing patriotic favorites and musical selections that celebrate America’s history, heritage, and traditions. The concert is part of local efforts to commemorate the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States through music, history, and shared community experiences.

In addition to the concert, families can enjoy patriotic-themed crafts, outdoor games, and other activities hosted by the Morris Area Public Library. Food trucks coordinated by the City of Morris will also be available throughout the evening.

The concert is made possible through a generous grant from the Bowker-Ostrem-Meadows Endowment through the Community Foundation of Grundy County.

Following the concert, attendees are invited to stay for Movies in the Park beginning at dusk, making it a full evening of summer entertainment and family fun.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and join your neighbors for this special celebration of music, patriotism, and community as Morris kicks off the Fourth of July season together.
