Grundy County Historical Society

The Grundy County Historical Society has Morris local history resources including the Daily Herald newspaper on microfilm, an obituary index, plat maps, yearbooks, telephone books, photos, and other archival materials. 

Library of Congress Sanborn Maps

The Sanborn Maps collection is a searchable database of fire insurance maps. that covers US cities and towns in the 19th and 20th centuries. The maps, published by the Sanborn Map Company, were used by fire insurance companies to assess risk in these areas.

HathiTrust Digital Library

HathiTrust is a repository of online content and research material created by research libraries across the country. It includes digitized content from Google Books, the Internet Archive Digitization initiative, and local libraries. HathiTrust makes available 17 million public domain documents and other resources.

Find A Grave is a searchable online database of cemetery records. Among the information available are digital photographs of headstones from burial sites, grave records with dates and locations, biographical information, plot information, and more.

FamilySearch

FamilySearch has a historical records database with over 5.7 billion images, including digitized books and microfilm. Additionally it has a Family Tree section of user generated content providing information on more than 1.3 billion individuals.
