Bus Trip – June 6, 2025 – Art Institute of Chicago

Whether you’re a longtime art lover or just looking for a way to LEVEL UP your summer, this is your chance to explore one of the nation’s most celebrated museums without the hassle of city parking or planning. Trip Details

Join us for a full day of art, inspiration, and exploration at the Art Institute of Chicago. Registration is required, and space is limited.

  • Date: Friday, June 6, 2025
  • Check-In: Please arrive at the library by 8:45 AM. The bus will depart at 9AM.
  • Return Time: Please meet at the designated spot by 3:45PM. Our expected library return time is 6PM.
  • Cost: $15 per person, includes bus and entry ticket. Register here.

Transportation Information

  • This trip uses a school bus. There is no restroom on board
  • Seating is two per seat. You may be seated next to someone you do not know
  • For everyone’s safety, nothing may be stored in the aisles or under others’ feet
  • Stroller space is limited. If you need to bring a stroller, you must request and reserve space in advance

Museum Guidelines

To protect the artwork and ensure a safe experience for all visitors, the Art Institute does not allow the following inside the galleries:

  • Backpacks
  • Purses larger than 11″ x 17″
  • Food or drink (including chewing gum)
  • Pens
  • Wheeled shoes
  • Flash photography

Photography is allowed, but only without flash.

Lunch Information

  • You may bring a sack lunch. A non-refrigerated bin will be provided for storage
  • Please label your lunch clearly to avoid confusion
  • We will meet at 1:00 PM in the lunchroom for our designated eating time
  • If you prefer, there are fast-food restaurants across the street from the museum

Return Instructions

  • Return to the designated meeting spot by 3:45 PM
  • The bus will leave promptly at 4:00 PM
  • If you are not on the bus at departure time, it will leave without you
  • All participants will be required to sign a waiver and initial this clause to board the bus
