Author Jordan Sonnenblick – March 12, 2025

On March 12, 2025, we welcomed bestselling author Jordan Sonnenblick for an engaging author presentation and book signing. Known for his ability to write funny books about serious topics, Sonnenblick captivated the audience with stories about his childhood, his writing process, and the real-life experiences that inspire his books.

During the event, he shared how many of his stories come from his own life, including a moment when a young attendee made an exciting connection—realizing that the teacher in The Boy Who Failed Dodgeball was the very same teacher Sonnenblick had been talking about that evening!

Sonnenblick also spoke candidly about growing up with ADHD before it had a name, reflecting on the challenges of being a hyperactive kid and how those experiences shaped him as a writer. He left the audience with an uplifting message:

  • Find something you’re good at and practice it.
  • Use that skill to make someone else’s life better.

We saw his words in action when a young girl bravely asked him to read her poem. He not only read it but also offered her encouraging words and support, showing firsthand how small moments of kindness can make a big impact.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable evening! 📚✨
