Volunteers Needed for Senior Tax Preparation
AARP Tax-Aide is looking for volunteers to help seniors in the Will, Grundy Counties, suburbs with Federal and State tax preparation. No previous tax experience is necessary but computer skills are required. Those who volunteer receive IRS training materials and attend 5 weekday training classes in January at the White Oak Library in Crest Hill, IL. They must satisfactorily complete a test to become IRS-certified tax preparers. Volunteers must be able to commit to 3-4 hours once a week during the tax season in February – April, 2020.
If interested, please complete an Online Application at www.aarp.org/taxvolunteer .
MAPL staff note: if there are a sufficient number of local volunteers, the library may host this program in 2020.
