FREE TREES for kids

We’re Growing a Greener Future with Neighborhood Forest!

We love trees! That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our participation in the Neighborhood Forest program, bringing the magic of trees to the hearts of children in our community.

Neighborhood Forest has been spreading the joy of planting trees for over a decade, reaching more than 2,000 schools, libraries, and youth groups across North America. Together, they’ve inspired over 500,000 volunteers and helped plant nearly 200,000 trees – and now, we’re excited to join this impactful initiative!

Why Trees?

By giving every child the chance to plant their very own tree, we’re not just beautifying our neighborhoods – we’re building a brighter, greener future. Planting trees helps reduce our carbon footprint, instills a love for nature, and gives kids a hands-on opportunity to experience the wonder of watching something grow.

How It Works

  • Sign Up: Parents can sign up to receive a free tree for their child by clicking here, giving us a call, or stopping by the front desk.
  • Pick up your tree: Trees will be delivered to the library ahead of Earth Week (April 22–30), and families will be notified when they are available for pick up.
  • Plant It Together: Families can plant their trees together to celebrate Earth Day. For tips on tree planting, click here.
  • Watch It Grow: Kids will experience the joy of nurturing their tree, creating a lasting connection with nature.

Last Earth Day, Neighborhood Forest gave 67,000 kids their own trees. This year, they’re aiming to reach 100,000 kids – and we can’t wait to help make it happen!
