Passport information to make your application process go smoothly!
The Library Staff will cease processing applications one hour before closing. Applications are processed on a walk-in basis only.
1. Applicants MUST apply in person
2. Documentation to bring with you:
Evidence of US citizenship (must be original documents): certified US birth certificate; previous undamaged passport issued in last 15 years; consular report of birth abroad; certificate of naturalization/citizenship
Photo ID: valid Driver’s License (plus a second ID if issued in a different state than where you apply); undamaged US passport if issued in last 15 years; valid government or military ID
-Passport Photo. Please provide a photo matching official passport regulations.
3. Payment of Fees
Fees are payable by check.
Passport and Delivery checks are made payable to Department of State.
Acceptance Facility Fees ($25.00) are payable to Morris Area Public Library.
4. Types of passports
Passport Book- $110, valid for all international travel
Passport Card- $30, valid only for return to the U.S. by land or sea from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and the Caribbean
Passport Book & Card- $140, apply for both documents at the same time
5. Processing Methods
Standard Processing- no additional Fees; processed in 4-6 weeks
Expedited Processing- $60; processed in 2-3 weeks door-to-door
Expedited at Agency Processing- $60; Restrictions apply; Processed in 5 business days or less based on need
Standard Delivery- No additional Fees; Delivery by USPS Priority Mail for new passport book; documents may be returned by First Class Mail
Overnight Expedited Delivery to the passport facility- $22.95; payable to the Morris Area Public Library.
Overnight Expedited Delivery to your home- $20.66; only applies to passport books; payable to the US Department of State.
