Congrats to Staff!

Congratulations to two Morris Library staff members who have recently won professional and educational awards!

Desk clerk Steve Larson was named the recipient of the 2009 Illinois Library Association's Robert P. Doyle Award.  Answering the question "Why I would like to attend the ILA Annual Conference and how it would affect my personal and professional growth," Steve was selected as the sole award recipient out of a pool of candidates from around the state.  This award makes it possible for Steve to attend this year's ILA Annual Conference.  Way to go, Steve!

Shelver Rosemary Nowak, a 2009 graduate of Morris Community High School, received several academic achievements this year.  She was designated as an Illinois State Scholar, recognized as a Voice of Democracy winner by the Morris VFW, awarded a scholarship by the JJC Foundation, and received departmental accolades in English and Art.  Congratulations, Rosemary!

We're so proud of our staff!
