Teen Stuff

The Young Adult area of the library contains fiction materials for teens in 6-12th grades. The collection contains fiction in both hardcover and paperback formats. Additionally, graphic novels, magazines, and Morris schools' textbooks are located in the Young Adult section. Young Adult audiobooks and nonfiction are incorporated into the adult department and are identified by a "YA" or "Teen" sticker on the spine.  Currently we carry subscriptions for Anime Insider, Cosmo Girl!, Electronic Gaming Monthly, Mad, Seventeen, Shojo Beat, Teen Vogue, Tips & Tricks, and Wizard magazines.

The Young Adult department has a computer area for teens to do homework, research, or e-mail. Teens in 6-8th grades need a completed parental permission form on file at the library in order to use the computers. These forms are available at the front desk at the library.

We offer a Summer Reading Club during the summer months for those teens who enjoy reading and like to be involved in different activities and programs.

For more information, please call the library at (815) 942-6880.
