The State Treasurer is holding 2.5 billion dollars in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these lost funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs. Property is returned at no cost with the proper identification. If you think you may have some of these unclaimed funds, stop by and have an iCash Rep find out!

Summer Fest 2017- "Reading By Design" begins Monday, June 12! If you read at all this summer, join us- you could win neat prizes! It's simple: gain slips to win prizes. Earn slips by reading or attending programs between June 12- July 23. All subjects and formats of books are acceptable: from David Baldacci's The Fix to Astrophysics For People in a Hurry, e book, audio, or print. Fill out one slip per book, Extra slips can be picked up from the Circulation Desk or from Rose N. At the end of an event, ask Rose N. for a program slip. Return the completed slips to the library before each Monday to be entered into that week's prize drawing. All unchosen slips will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing, which will be held on Monday, July 24. The weekly prizes and grand prize will be on display at the library. Calendars and reading slips will be available at the Library starting June 12. Registration opens up on June 12.

Coffee & Coloring
   Wednesday, June 14, June 28, July 5, and July 19, 1-2 p.m.
Bring your own coloring book and supplies, or use the sheets and pencils supplied to take some time for yourself! Coffee & tea will be available, or bring your own. No registration required.


Painting Party- "Elephant"
   Tuesday, June 20, 6-7:30 p.m.
In this guided class, you will paint an elephant design onto a canvas with acrylic paints. Registration required, space is limited.


Mini Canvas
   Wednesday, June 21, and Wednesday, July 12, 1-2 p.m.
Spend an hour painting on a mini (3 x3 inch) canvas with acrylic paints. You decide your design. No registration required, but supplies are limited.


Exploding Kittens Card Game
   Wednesday, June 21, 6-7:30 p.m.
Play this highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette, from The Oatmeal, maker of How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you. Snacks will be served.


Americana Song & Dance Scenes Presentation
   Tuesday, June 27, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Celebrate the Fourth of July with this spectacular collection of film clips from some of your favorite films, including "Yankee Doodle Dandy", "Oklahoma", "Holiday Inn", and many more! Registration is appreciated.


Sunflower Wreath

Stranger Than Fiction Movie Night
   Tuesday, July 11, 6-7:30 p.m.
Plot- a mentally unstable IRS auditor (Will Ferrell) hears an author's (Emma Thompson) voice in his head and discovers that he is the ill-fated protagonist of her latest work. While a book-company employee (Queen Latifa) tries to cure the author's writer's block, the auditor and a professor (Dustin Hoffman) set out to find the woman and maker her change her story. Refreshments will be served.
